ROUND CUT TANZANITE
The round cut tanzanite is a very popular shape and works well in all tanzanite jewellery designs – from rings and earrings to pendants and neck pieces.
CUSHION CUT TANZANITE
The tanzanite cushion shape is characterised by soft edges and round corners, resembling a cushion or pillow. Cushion shapes can vary from a more square shape to rectangular.
SQUARE CUT TANZANITE
The Princess cut tanzanite is square in shape with sharp pointy corners. Designed for maximum brilliance, this shape is very popular for contemporary tanzanite jewellery designs.
SQUARE EMERALD CUT TANZANITE
The Square Emerald cut is a unique cut, similar to an Emerald cut tanzanite with step-like facets with trimmed corners, but square in shape.
EMERALD CUT TANZANITE
The Emerald cut tanzanite has step-like facets, a rectangular shape and trimmed corners. Although it tends to be less fiery than other brilliant cut tanzanites as a result of its long lines, it displays broader, more dramatic flashes of light.
OCTAGON CUT TANZANITE
Octagonal shape tanzanites have eight sides and are similar in shape to an Emerald cut tanzanite.
OVAL CUT TANZANITE
An oval tanzanite is an elongated version of the round brilliant. The Oval shape has a larger surface area, than a round brilliant of the same carat weight, and is an excellent choice for those more concerned with size.
PEAR SHAPE TANZANITE
The pear cut tanzanite is shaped like a tear drop and is a combination of the marquise and round brilliant cut. Well proportioned, it gives a depth of scintillation to the point of the tanzanite
TRILLIANT CUT TANZANITE
A trilliant tanzanite has a triangular shape and generally shows the best colour and brilliance compared to other tanzanite shapes.
MARQUISE SHAPE TANZANITE
The Marquise tanzanite has two sharp points on either end. Its elongated shape has an elegant air to it, and is well suited to jewellery designs with accompanying side set stones.
